559 ÆäÀÌÁö - Washington, a department of education, for the purpose of collecting such statistics and facts as shall show the condition and progress of education in the several States and Territories, and of diffusing such information respecting the organization and management of schools and school systems, and methods of teaching, as shall aid the people of the United States in the establishment and maintenance of efficient school systems and otherwise promote the cause of education throughout the country.
806 ÆäÀÌÁö - Survey and the classification of the public lands and examination of the geological structure, mineral resources, and products of the national domain.
781 ÆäÀÌÁö - No person In the executive civil service shall use his official authority or Influence for the purpose of interfering with an election or affecting the result thereof. Persons who by the provisions of these rules are In the competitive classified service, while retaining the right to vote as they please and to express privately their opinions on all political subjects, shall take no active part in political management or In political campaigns.
784 ÆäÀÌÁö - Government, except for personal services, shall be made by advertising a sufficient time previously for proposals respecting the same, when the public exigencies do not require the immediate delivery of the articles, or performance of the service.
781 ÆäÀÌÁö - No discrimination shall be exercised, threatened, or promised by any person in the executive civil service against or in favor of an applicant, eligible, or employee in the classified service because of his political or religious opinions or affiliations.
784 ÆäÀÌÁö - No department or establishment shall purchase or draw supplies from the common schedule through more than one office or bureau, except in case of detached bureaus or offices having field or outlying service, which may purchase directly from the contractor with the permission of the head of their department or establishment: And provided further, That telephone service, electric light and power service purchased or contracted for from companies or individuals shall be so obtained by him.

784 ÆäÀÌÁö - That hereafter all supplies of fuel, ice, stationery, and other miscellaneous supplies for the executive departments and other Government establishments in Washington, when the public exigencies do not require the immediate delivery of the article, shall be advertised and contracted for by the Secretary of the Treasury, instead of by the several departments and establishments, upon such days as he may designate.
781 ÆäÀÌÁö - It shall be unlawful for any person employed in the executive branch of the Federal Government, or any agency or department thereof, to use his official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with an election or affecting the result thereof. No officer or employee in the executive branch of the Federal Government, or any agency or department thereof, shall take any active part in political management or in political campaigns.
292 ÆäÀÌÁö - Provided, That no compensation shall be paid under this Act where the injury is due to the negligence or misconduct of the employee injured, nor unless said injury shall continue for more than fifteen days. All questions of negligence or misconduct shall be determined by the Secretary of Commerce and Labor.
