THE publisher of THE STEAM BOAT COMPANION, between London, and the Eastern Shores of England, having been favoured with the attention of a generous Public (conceiving it his. duty) presents to them a similar volume, descriptive of the beauties on the Banks of the Thames, from the Metropolis, westward, to the delectable Richmond; the royal Hampton; and the majestic hill of Windsor; in which not a nobleman or gentleman's seat has escaped the attention; with every church, ancient monastery, palace, bridge, and such other monuments as are worthy remembrance; also, the history of their foundations, and such remarkable events as have attached to their locality, and many other incidental circumstances.
