Lord my God.-It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped Jesus, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous. Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a Publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican: I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his

to me a sinner. I tell you, went down to his house justified rather than the other for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted. And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jerico, a certain blind man cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And he asked him, saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight thy faith hath saved thee. said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.-Ye believe in God, believe also in me. They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. Icame not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.--Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance for ye were made sorry, after a godly manner. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of.And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and

touched the hem of his garment : For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. Jesus turned him about, and said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? they said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened.

UNTO us, a child is born; unto us, a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder : and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.-And this is his Isa. ix. 6, 7.
