Raymond W. Carr, a member of the Albany Bar, died in the forty-first year of his age, April 13, 1911.

Mr. Carr came to Albany with his father, Lewis E. Carr, general counsel of the Delaware and Hudson Company, as an assistant to him in the law department of that company.

He was never engaged in the general practice of the law, but all of his professional effort was in the specialized work of corporation law. He was well versed, of studious and quiet disposition, modest and retiring; he disliked all display, professionally or otherwise.

[ocr errors]

He was devoted to his father they were companionable, and he was justly proud of the position which his father filled at the Bar of our State.

In his quiet way, in connection with the office work, he gave all of his attention in the preparation and disposition of matters outside of the Courts.

He was taken away after a brief illness, leaving a wife and two children.
