1. ALMIGHTY Father of mankind,

Thou dost my hope sustain;

And when the day of trouble comes,
I shall not trust in vain,

2. In early years Thou wast my guide,
And of my youth the friend;
And, as my days began with Thee,
With Thee my days shall end.

3. I know the Power in whom I trust,
The arm on which I lean :
Thou wilt my Saviour ever be,
Who hast my Saviour been.

4. I'll trust Thy goodness while I live;
In death Thy name adore;

And after death will sing Thy praise,
When time shall be no more.

LOGAN.

1. I LOVE the Lord; He heard my cries,
And pitied ev'ry groan:

Long as I live, when troubles rise,
I'll hasten to His throne.

2. I love the Lord; he bow'd His ear,
And chas'd my griefs away;
Oh, let my heart no more despair,
While I have breath to pray.

3. The Lord beheld me sore distrest,
And bade my pains remove :
Return, my soul, to God, Thy rest,
For thou hast known His love.

4. My God has sav'd my soul from death,
And dried my falling tears;

Now to His praise I'll spend my breath,
And my remaining years.
