1. GLORIOUS things of thee are spoken,

Zion, city of our God !

Blessings, like the Lord, the giver,

Wash'd from sin through Jesus' blood, -
He, within their hearts abiding,

Makes them kings and priests to God :
'Tis His pow'r His people raises,

Over self to reign as kings ;
And, as priests, their solemn praises
