Zion, city of our God!

Form'd thee for His own abode;

With salvation's walls surrounded,

Springing from eternal love,

Well supply thy sons and daughters,
And all fear of want remove:
Who can faint, when that full river
Ever flows their thirst t' assuage?

Blessings, like the Lord, the giver,
Never fail, from age to age.

3. Blest are all in thee residing,

Wash'd from sin through Jesus' blood,

He, within their hearts abiding,

Makes them kings and priests to God:
'Tis His pow'r His people raises,

Over self to reign as kings;
And, as priests, their solemn praises

Each for a thank-off'ring brings.

1. BLEST Redeemer ! power in heaven And in earth to Thee is given; Teach us, Lord, aright to pray, Lead and guide us in Thy way.

2. Lo! we make Thy paths our choice, Grace we ask t' obey Thy voice; Grace to follow where Thy hand Points the way, or bids us stand.

Meekness, wisdom, strength of heart;
Day by day our need supply,
