FORMULARIES; OR, THE MAGISTRATE'S ASSISTANT. HACKNEY COACHES. No. 1. Summons to the Driver of a Hackney Coach to answer a Complaint. To the owner or person licensed to keep and drive the hackney coach numbered 356 (or as it may be). County of to wit. } WHEREAS information has been this day made before me W. R. esquire, one of his majesty's justices of the peace in and for the said county, [city or liberty,] that the driver of a certain hackney coach, numbered 356, licensed unto you of for that [set forth the complaint.] These are, therefore, in his majesty's name to will and require you the said to appear in person with the driver of your said coach, before me, the said justice, at on the day of or before such other justice or justices of the peace as shall be then and there sitting, to answer the premises as the law directs. These are therefore in his majesty's name to will and require you to appear before me the said justice, at at on the day of o'clock in the noon, or before such other justice or justices of the peace as shall be then and there sitting, to answer the said neglect, as the said orders, bye-laws, and ordinances direct. Whereas complaint hath been this day made before me W. R. esquire, one of his majesty's justices of the peace in and for the day of at the said county, by the driver of the hackney coach [or chariot] No. 356, that you did, on the parish of in the said county, unlawfully refuse to pay him the sum of being the money justly due to him for the hire of the hackney coach [or chariot] contrary to the statute, &c.
