EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT, DEAR SENATOR: Supplementing my letter of March 23 and in response to your current request to the President, I am enclosing triplicate copies of a table reflecting detailed information on all strategic materials in Government inventories, in relation to the strategic stockpile objectives as of December 31, 1961, except the 12 commodities itemized in the tables submitted to you with my letter of March 22 and declassified a that time. The enclosed information supplementing the submission of March 23 provides all of the pertinent data for all strategic materials. Also enclosed are triplicate copies of a table which reflects the acquisition cost per commodity and the December 31, 1961, market value of the total inventory per commodity. I am also supplying this same information for the 12 materials shown in the table submitted to you March 23. I have today declassified the information transmitted to you herewith.
