Pade Approximants Part 1

The first of two volumes describing in a comprehensive manner the topic of Padé Approximation and some of its generalizations. These are special topics in mathematical approximation theory and complex analysis. In this volume the relationships between Padé approximants numerical methods, orthogonal polynomials and continued fractions are developed.
