3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? and who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 4. If thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 5. Jesus said, I am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst. Him that cometh unto Me I will in no wise cast out. 6. Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us; therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Morning. Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption. My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up. 2. Thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye Me, and ye shall live. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. 3. Praise waiteth for Thee, O God, in Zion: and unto Thee shall the vow be performed. O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. Whom have I in heaven but Thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides Thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. 4. We will come into Thy house in the multitude of Thy mercy; and in Thy fear will we worship toward Thy holy temple. Let the words of our mouth, and the meditation of our heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer. R Evening. 1. Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? Almighty God, who hast promised to be present with Thy people, and to grant their requests in the name of Thy well-beloved Son; regard us, we humbly beseech Thee, with Thy favour; and for the sake of Him who is our only Saviour and Mediator with Thee, fulfil Thy promise in our behalf, that our thoughts being lifted up, and our desires drawn forth unto Thee, we may render Thee acceptable worship; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 2. O God, whom heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain, but who dwellest with humble and contrite hearts; look in Thy mercy upon us who are here assembled according to Thine ordinance to offer up our sacrifices of prayer and praise before Thy divine majesty. Grant us Thy Holy Spirit, we entreat Thee, O Lord, to guide and to sanctify us, that we may be acceptable in Thy sight, and may obtain our petitions; for we come before Thee not in our own name, but in the name of our great High Priest and Advocate, Jesus Christ. Amen. 3. Amen. 4. O God, the Judge of all, who knowest what is in man, and requirest truth in the inward parts; mercifully grant that we may not draw near to Thee with our lips while our heart is far from Thee; and let Thy Holy Spirit help our infirmities, and pray with us and plead for us, that our offerings may be holy and well-pleasing unto Thee; through the merits of our only Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 5. Almighty and everlasting God, who lovest the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob, and who hast promised that in all places where Thou dost record Thy name, Thou wilt meet with Thy people to bless them; fulfil to us, we beseech Thee, Thy promise, and make us joyful in the house of prayer.
