1. Deliver me, O God, from mine enemies, and save me from them that rise up against me.

2. Deliver me from wicked doers, and from bloodthirsty men.

3. For lo! they lie waiting for my soul: the mighty men are gathered against me.

4. Arise thou then to help me, and behold.

17. My strength will I ascribe to thee: unto thee will I sing : for thou, O God, art my refuge, and my merciful God.

5. Call to remembrance, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy loving kindness, which have been ever of old.

6. O, remember not the sins and offences of my youth: but according to thy mercy think thou upon me, O Lord, for thy goodness.

Hide not thou thy face from us, O Lord, and cast not off thy servants in thy displeasure: for we confess our sins unto thee, and hide not our unrighteousness..

Lord, for thy tender mercy's sake lay not our sins to our charge, but forgive that is past, and give us grace to amend our sinful life ; to decline from sin and incline to virtue, that we may walk in a perfect heart before thee now and evermore.

Bow thine ear, O Lord, and hear: let thine anger cease from us.

Sion, thy Sion, is wasted and brought low. Jerusalem is wasted quite ; desolate and void.

1. Sing joyfully unto God our strength : sing loud unto the God of Jacob.:

2. Take the song and bring forth the timbrel : the pleasant harp and the viol.

3. Blow the trumpet in the new moon : ev'n in the time appointed, and at our feast day.

4. For this was a statute for Israel : and a law of the God of Jacob.

9. Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: see, we beseech thee, we are thy people.

10. Zion is a wilderness : Jerusalem a desolation.

11. Our holy and our beautiful house where our Fathers praised thee, is burnt up with fire.

12. Wilt thou refrain thyself, O Lord ? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore ?

1. Plead thou my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: and fight against them that fight against me.

2. Lay hand upon the shield and buckler : and stand up to help me.

Shout, ye lower parts of the earth : break forth into singing, ye mountains ; for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
