Upon entering the Chapel, the Pages filed off at the entrance; the Medical attendants, the Vicar and Curate of Kensington, Secretary, Librarian, and Chaplains of His late Royal Highness, the Equerries of the Royal Family, of the Queen Dowager, of the Queen, and of His late Royal Highness, stood at the upper end of the Chapel, near the Reading Desk; the Lord and Groom to Prince Albert, and the Lord and Groom in Waiting to the Queen, were on each side of the Chapel.

The Cabinet Ministers, the Great Officers of the Household, and the Personal Friends of His late Royal Highness, were conducted to their seats, on either side of the Chapel; Sir Augustus D'Este being placed at the upper end of the seat, on the right of the Chief Mourner, facing the Body; Prince Edward of Saxe Weimar to the upper end of the corresponding seat on the left of the Chief Mourner.

Upon arrival within the Chapel, the Body was placed on the Bier, and the Coronet and Cushion laid upon the Coffin; The Chief Mourner sat at the Head of the Corpse, his supporters standing on either side; Prince Albert sat near the Chief Mourner, having the Prince George of Cambridge

on his right hand, and the Hereditary Grand Duke of Mecklenburgh Strelitz on his left hand; the Lord Chamberlain of Her Majesty's Household stood at the feet of the Corpse, with his supporters on either side; the supporters of the Pall on each side of the Body; the Executors of His late Royal Highness, and the Trainbearers stood immediately behind the Royal Family.

The part of the Service before the Interment being read, the Coffin was deposited in the Vault beneath the Chapel, and the Bishop of Norwich, assisted by the Chaplain to the Cemetery, having concluded the Burial Service, Sir Charles George Young, Knight, Garter Principal King of Arms, pronounced, near the Grave, the Styles of His late Royal Highness, as follows:-" Thus it hath pleased Almighty God to take out of this transitory life, unto His Divine Mercy, the late Most High, Most Mighty, and Illustrious Prince Augustus Frederick Duke of Sussex, Earl of Inverness, and Baron of Arklow, Knight of the Most "Noble Order of the Garter, Knight of the Most "Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle,

Acting Great Master and Knight Grand Cross "of the Most Honourable Military Order of the "Bath, sixth Son of His Majesty King George "the Third, and Uncle of Her Most Excellent Majesty Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, whom God bless "and preserve with long Life, Health, and Honour, "and all worldly Happiness."

After which, His Royal Highness Prince Albert, His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, and His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke of Mecklenburgh Strelitz, were conducted

by the Lord Chamberlain out of the Chapel, followed by their respective Suites; Her Majesty's Ministers, and the other Persons composing the Procession, then retired.

N.B. The Knights of the several Orders present at the Solemnity wore their Collars, with white

rosettes.

Lord Chamberlain's-Office, May 10, 1843.

NOTICE is hereby given, that His Royal Highness Prince Albert will, by the desire of Her Majesty, hold a Levee, at St. James's-Palace, on behalf of Her Majesty, on Wednesday next, the 17th instant, at two o'clock.

It is Her Majesty's pleasure, that presentations to His Royal Highness at this Levee shall be considered equivalent to presentations to the Queen.

Addresses to the Queen may either be forwarded to Her Majesty through the Secretary of State for the Home Department, or may be reserved until Her Majesty shall hold a Levee.

Westminster, May 9, 1843.

This day, the Lords being met, a message was sent to the Honourable House of Commons by the Gentlemen Usher of the Black Rod, acquainting them, that The Lords, authorized by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal, signed by Her Majesty, for delaring Her Royal Assent to several Acts agreed upon by both Houses, do desire the immediate attendance of the Honourable House in the House of Peers to hear the Commission read; and the Commons being come thither, the said Commission, empowering the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, and several other Lords therein named, to declare and notify the Royal Assent to the said Acts, was read accordingly, and the Royal Assent given to

An Act for raising the sum of nine millions and fifty thousand pounds, by Exchequer Bills, for the service of the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-three.

An Act for transferring to the Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of the borough of Manchester certain powers and property, now vested in the Commissioners for cleansing, lighting, watching, and regulating the town of Manchester.

An Act for enabling the Cromford and High Peak Railway Company to grant mortgages for part of their floating debts; and for amending the Act relating to such railway.

An Act to amend an Act relating to the building of the Hungerford and Lambeth Suspension Foot Bridge; and for granting further powers to the Hungerford and Lambeth Suspension Foot Bridge Company.
