sister of the said George-William now Earl of Coventry cannot enjoy that place and precedence which would have been due to her, in case her said late father had survived the said GeorgeWilliam Earl of Coventry, and thereby succeeded to the title and dignity of Earl of Coventry, Her Majesty has been pleased to ordain and declare, that Maria-Emma-Katherine Coventry (a minor), the only sister of the said George-William now Earl of Coventry, shall henceforth have, hold, and enjoy the same title, place, pre-eminence, and precedence as if her said late father had succeeded to the said title and dignity of Earl of Coventry :

And Her Majesty has been further pleased to command, that the said royal order and declaration be registered in Her Majesty's College of Arms.

Jedburgh and county of Roxburgh, vacant in consequence of the Reverend John Purves, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend George Blair to the church and parish of Monzie, in the presbytery of Auchterarder and county of Perth, vacant in consequence of the Reverend John Reid Omond, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend James Gray Wood to the church and parish of Renfrew, in the presbytery of Paisley and county of Renfrew, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Duncan M'Farlane, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend Andrew Redman Bonar to the church and parish of Fogo, in the presbytery of Dunse and county of Berwick, vacant in consequence of the Reverend John Baillie, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend David Martin to the church and parish of Dunnichen, in the presbytery and county of Forfar, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Donald Ferguson, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend Adam Cunningham to the church and parish of Crailing, in the presbytery of Jedburgh and county of Roxburgh, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Andrew Milroy, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend William Ranken Watson to the ehurch and parish of Logie, in the presbytery of Cupar and county of Fife, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Andrew Melville, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend William Carrick to the church and parish of East Kilbride, in the presbytery of Hamilton and county of Lanark, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Henry Moncrieff, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

THIS day, the Lords being met, a message was sent to the Honourable House of Commons by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, acquainting them, that The Lords, authorized by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal, signed by Her Majesty, for declaring Her Royal Assent to several Acts agreed upon by both Houses, do desire the immediate attendance of the Honour

able House in the House of Peers to hear the Commission read; and the Commons being come thither, the said Commission, empowering the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, and several other Lords therein named, to declare and notify the Royal Assent to the said Acts, was read accordingly, and the Royal Assent given to

An Act to make better provision for the spiritual care of populous parishes.

An Act for the better apprehension of certain offenders.

An Act to make further regulations for facilitating the hearing appeals and other matters by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.

An Act for confirmation of certain marriages in Ireland.

An Act to repeal so much of an Act, of the first year of King George the First, as limits the time for taking, and being restrained from taking, salmon in certain rivers; and to amend and extend the provisions of an Act, of the fifty-eighth year of King George the Third, to the rivers therein mentioned.
