The Queen has been pleased to appoint Adam Urquhart, Esq. Advocate, to be Sheriff Depute of the shire or sheriffdom of Wegtoun, in the room of James Walker, Esq. resigned.

Whitehall, November 7, 1843.

The Queen has been pleased to present the Reverend James Wordie to the charge and office of Second Minister of the church and parish of Cupar, in the presbytery of Cupar and shire of Fife, vacant in consequence of the admission of the Reverend James Cochrane to the cure of the First Charge of the said parish.

Commissioners appointed under the Act sixth and seventh Victoria, c. 101, for establishing an Office for the Benefit of Coal Whippers of the Port of London.

The QUEEN's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

IT is this day ordered by Her Majesty in Council, that the Parliament, which stands prorogued to Tuesday the fourteenth day of November instant, be further prorogued to Tuesday the nineteenth day of December next.

At the Court at Windsor the 10th day of November 1843,

PRESENT,

The QUEEN's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England have, in pursuance of an Act, passed in the session of Parliament held in the third and fourth years of Her Majesty's reign, -intituled "An Act to carry into effect, with "certain modifications, the fourth report of the

"Commissioners of Ecclesiastical Duties and "Revenues," and of another Act, passed in the last session of Parliament, intituled "An Act for regulating the cathedral churches of Wales,” duly prepared and laid before Her Majesty in Council a scheme, bearing date the ninth day of this instant November, in the words following, that is to say:

"We, the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England, in pursuance of an Act, passed in the session of Parliament held in the third and fourth years of your Majesty's reign, intituled "An Act to carry into effect, with cer"tain modifications, the fourth report of the "Commissioners of Ecclesiastical Duties and "Revenues," and of another Act, passed in the last session of Parliament, intituled " An Act for "regulating the cathedral churches of Wales," have prepared, and now humbly lay before your Majesty in Council the following scheme, for separating the archdeaconry of Llandaff from the deanery of Llandaff.

"Whereas by the first recited Act it is enacted, that the archdeacon of Llandaff should, from the passing thereof, be also dean of the cathedral church of Llandaff:

"And whereas by the secondly recited Act it is enacted, that the dignity and office of archdeacon of Llandaff might be separated from the said deanery, provided that such separation should not take place before the then next vacancy of the said deanery, without the consent of the then dean:

"And whereas the said deanery has since become and now is vacant :

"We, therefore, humbly recommend and propose, that the archdeaconry and deanery of Llan

daff shall forthwith be disunited and become from henceforth two separate and distinct dignities and offices.

"And we further recommend and propose, that nothing herein contained shall prevent us from recommending and proposing other measures relating to the archdeaconry and deanery of Llandaff, or either of them, especially for the endowment thereof respectively, in conformity with the provisions of the said recited Acts, or either of them, or of any other Act of Parliament."

And whereas notice of the said scheme has been duly given to the Lord Bishop of Llandaff, and to the Chapter of Llandaff, respectively, and no objection has been made thereto :

And whereas the said scheme has been approved by Her Majesty in Council; now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her said Council, is pleased hereby to ratify the said scheme, and to order and direct that the same, and every part thereof, shall be effectual in law immediately from and after the time when this Order shall have been duly published in the London Gazette, pursuant to the said Act; and Her Majesty, by and with the like advice, is pleased hereby to direct, that this Order be forthwith registered by the Registrar of the diocese of Llandaff. Downing-Street, November 10, 1843. The Queen has been pleased to nominate and appoint Arthur Aston, Esq. late Her Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to the Queen of Spain, to be a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath.
