I, the Right Honourable Charles Manners Sutton, Speaker of the House of Commons, do hereby give notice, that I have received a certificate, under the hands of two Members of the House of Commons, of the death of James Cuff, Esq. late Burgess serving in Parliament for the borough of Tralee, in the county of Kerry, and that I shall issue my warrant to the Clerk of the Crown to make out a new writ for electing a Burgess to serve in Parliament for the said borough of Tralee, fourteen days after the insertion of this notice in the London Gazette.

THE Right Honourable Robert Peel has appointed the Right Honourable Lord Granville Charles Henry Somerset; Robert Gordon, Esq. M. P.; the Right Honourable Lord Robert Seymour; the Right Honourable Lord Ashley; the Right Honourable Charles Watkin Williams Wynn; the Right Honourable Sir George Henry Rose; the Honourable Frederick Gough Calthorpe; William Ward, Esq. M. P.; Francis Baring, Esq. M. P.; George Byng, Esq. M. P ; Charles Nicholas Pallmer, Esq. M.P.; Thomas Barrett Lennard, Esq. M. P.; Charles Ross, Esq. M. P.; Sir George Francis Hampson, Bart.; the Honourable Bartholomew Bouverie; Colonel James Clitherow ; Doctor Thomas Turner; Doctor John Bright; Doctor Henry Herbert Southey; Doctor Thomas Drever; and Doctor John Robert Hume, to be Commissioners for licensing and visiting all houses, within the cities of London and Westminster, and within seven miles thereof, and within the county of Middlesex, for the reception of lunatics.

The King has been pleased to order a congé d'elire to pass the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, empowering the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, London, to elect a Bishop of that See, the same being void by the translation of the Most Reverend Father in God Doctor William Howley to the Archbishoprick of Canterbury; and His Majesty has also been pleased, by His royal sign manual, to recommend to the said Dean and Chapter the Right Reverend Father in God Doctor Charles James Blomfield, now Bishop of Chester, to be by them chosen Bishop of the said See of London.
