The King has been graciously pleased to appoint the Honourable Francis Reginald Forbes-now Secretary to His Majesty's Embassy at the Court of Lisbon-to be Secretary to His Majesty's Embassy at the Court of Vienna. The King has also been graciously pleased to appoint John Henry Mandeville, Esq. now attached to His Majesty's Embassy at the Court of Paristo be Secretary to His Majesty's Embassy at the Court of Lisbon. THIS day, the Lords being met, a message was sent to the Honourable House of Commons by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, acquainting them, that The Lords, authorised by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal, signed by His Majesty, for declaring His Royal Assent. to several Acts agreed upon by both Houses, do. desire the immediate attendance of the Honourable House in the House of Peers to hear the Commission read; and the Commons being come thither, the said Commission, empowering the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord High Chancellor of of Great Britain, and several other Lords therein named, to declare and notify the Royal Assent to the said Acts, was read accordingly, and the Royal Assent given to An Act for continuing to His Majesty, for one year, certain duties on personal estates, offices, and pensions in England, for the service of the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-eight. An Act to indemnify such persons in the United Kingdom as have omitted to qualify themselves for offices and employments, and for extending the time limited for those purposes respectively until the twenty-fifth day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine. An Act to continue, for one year, and from thence to the end of the then next session of Parliament, so much of certain Acts of the Parliament of Ireland, as relate to the lighting, cleansing, and watching of cities and towns, for the lighting, cleansing, and watching of which no particular provision is made by any Act of Parliament. An Act to enable the Company of Proprietors of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, to alter the line of the said railway, and for amending and enlarging the powers and provisions of the several Acts relating thereto. An Act for amending and enlarging the powers and provisions of an Act relating to the Bolton and Leigh Railway. An Act to enable the Trustees of the road leading from the town of Cheltenham, in the county of Gloucester, towards the city of Gloucester, to form a new branch to communicate with the said road, in the parish of Cheltenham. An Act for more effectually repairing and improving the roads leading to and from the port, harbour, and town of Whitehaven, in the county of Cumberland. 1828. This day His Highness the Prince Lieven, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the Emperor of All the Russias, had a private audience of His Majesty to deliver letters from his Sovereign: The Count de la Alcudia, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary from the King of Spain, had also a private audience of His Majesty to deliver a letter from his Sovereign, and to present his credentials as Minister Plenipotentiary from His Royal Highness the Duke of Lucca: And Señor Madrid, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary from the Republic of Colombia, had likewise a private audience of His Majesty to deliver his credentials in that character: To which audiences they were respectively introduced by the Earl of Dudley, His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and con ducted by Sir Robert Chester, Knt.
