O God! how constant is thy love!
O God of Hosts, the Mighty Lord
O God, our Strength, to Thee the song
O God, where'er thy people meet....
O gracious Lord, to whom in vain
O help us, Lord ! each hour of need
O Israel! trust the Living Lord ..
“ O learn of me," the Saviour cried
O Lord, our thoughts ascend to Thee
O Lord, turn not thy face away.
O most Merciful!........
O praise our great and gracious Lord
O praise ye the Lord !..
On Thee, O God of Hosts, on Thee.
On thy Church, 0 Power Divine
O render thanks to God above...
O Saviour of the faithful dead !
O Saviour, whom this holy morn
O Spirit of the Living God
0 Thou that hear'st the mourner's cry
O Thou, whom neither time nor space
Our blest Redeemer, ere He breath'd
Our God is love ; and all his saints ..
O worship the King

Shine on our souls, Eternal God.
Songs of praise the angels sang.
Sons of men ! behold from far...
Spirit of Mercy, Truth, and Love!
Spirit of Truth ! on this Thy day.
Stand up and bless the Lord
Sweet is the task, O Lord..

The angel comes ! he comes to reap
The day of wrath, that dreadful day
The dove, let loose in eastern skies.
Th’ Eternal Monarch, from on high
The happy morn is come ....
The King Messiah reigns on high.
The Lord my pasture shall prepare
The Lord of Might from Sinai's brow
The Lord Jehovah reigns...
The Lord Jehovah reigns..
The Lord shall reign where'er the sun
The Lord will come! the earth shall quake..
The Saviour lives, no more to die...
The starry firmament on high..
The Sun of Righteousness appears.
Thee we adore, Eternal Lord !
This day be grateful homage paid
This is the day the Lord hath bless'd
This world is full of toil and woe...
Thou Lamb of God! for sinners slain
Thou Lamb of God! whose pard’ning love
Thou, Lord, by strictest search hast known
Thou, that sitt'st enthron'd above!..
Though we have griev'd thy Spirit, Lord.
Through all the changing scenes of life
Through endless years Thou art the same
Thy throne, O God, in righteousness.
To bless thy chosen race
To celebrate thy praise, O Lord
To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
To God the Father yield
To heav'n I lift mine eye.

We love the Lord, for He is good....
We love thy holy temple, Lord..
Well may the earth, astonish'd, shake
When all bespeaks a father's love..
When all Thy Mercies, O my God!..
When dangers press, and fears invade.
When our heads are bow'd with woe.
When rising from the bed of death...
While health and strength and youth remain.
While nations, fir'd with mutual rage
Wide as the glorious arch of heav'n..
With glory clad, with strength array'd.
With hearts in love abounding .
With joy we hạil the sacred day.
With one consent let all the earth.

PSALMS.

L. M.

PSALM III.
1 O GOD! how constant is thy love!

Thy gifts are ev'ry ev’ning new;
And morning mercies from above

Gently distil, like early dew. 2 Thou spread'st the curtain of the night,

Great Guardian of our sleeping hours;
Thy sov'reign word restores the light,

And quickens all our slumb’ring powers. 3 Thine arm sustain'd us while we slept,

Else had our eyelids clos'd in death;
Our life in safety still is kept,

And still we draw our wonted breath. 4 That life we yield to thy command;

To Thee we consecrate our days;
Perpetual blessings from thy hand
Demand perpetual songs of praise.

PSALM IV. c. M. 1 IN vain the thoughtless world inquires,

Forgetful of their God,
Who will supply their vain desires,

Or shew them earthly good. 2 Through the wide compass of the earth

Their restless wishes rove,
In search of honour, wealth, and mirth,

The idols of their love.

B

1 O

(2)
3 But oft these shadowy joys elude

Their most intense pursuit;
Or, if they seize the fancy'd good,

There's poison in the fruit. 4 From this vain world, Lord, wean our love,

Set our affections right;
May we, by faith, seek joys above,
And walk no more by sight !
PSALM V. Version 1. C.M., D.
N Thee, O God of Hosts, on Thee

I wait for hallowing grace;
None without holiness may see

The glories of thy face.
Before that eye, whose beam severe

Explores the heart within,
How loathsome must the thought appear

That clings to secret sin.
2 But I, O Lord, in humble prayer,

Within thy temple-gate,
Though most unworthy of thy care,

With trembling hope will wait:
Blest Spirit! whose renewing grace

To all is freely giv'n,
O fit me for this holy place,

And lift my soul to heav'n!

C. M.

PSALM V. Version 2.
LORD! in the morning thou shalt hear

My voice ascending high ;
To Thee will I direct my prayer,

To Thee lift up mine eye.
