The Queen has been pleased to give and grant unto Frederick-Charles Trench, of Parlington, in the parish of Aberford, in the West Riding of the county of York, Esq. and unto Mary Isabella, his wife, eldest of the two daughters and coheirs of Richard Oliver-Gascoigne (formerly Richard Oliver), late of Parlington aforesaid, Esq. deceased, Her royal licence and authority that they may take and henceforth use the surname of Gascoigne, in addition to and after that of Trench, that he, the said Frederick-Charles Trench, may bear the arms of Gascoigne quarterly with those of his own family, and that such surnames and arms may in like manner be taken, borne, and used by the issue of their marriage; such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms, and recorded in the Herald's office, otherwise the said royal licence and permission to be void and of none effect:

And also to command that the said royal concession and declaration be recorded in Her Majesty's College of Arms.

Her Majesty's Commissioners for the Exhibition of 1851 hereby give notice, that the Exhibition

will close to the public on Saturday the 11th of October.

The goods may be removed on Thursday, 16th October.

IT is this day ordered by Her Majesty in Council, that the Parliament, which stands prorogued to Thursday the fourth day of September next, be further prorogued to Tuesday the fourth day of November next.

LONDON GAZETTE of AUGUST 29,

1851.

THIS Gazette commences with two Orders in Council, dated the 7th day of August 1851, approving the schemes prepared by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England

For augmenting the income of the Archdeaconry of Coventry, in the diocese of Worcester.

For determining the portion of the improved value to be made payable to the said Ecclesiastical Commissioners in a certain mining lease about to be granted by the perpetual curate of Westhoughton, in the county of Lancaster, and diocese of Manchester.

Then follows another Order in Council, dated the 25th day of August 1851, approving the representation made by Her Majesty's Commissioners for building new churches, that particular districts should be assigned to the following consecrated churches or chapels in the parish of Edmonton, in the county of Middlesex, and diocese of London, namely, Weld Chapel, at Southgate,

Saint Paul's Church, at Winchmore Hill, and Saint James's Church, at Upper Edmonton; and that such proposed districts should be respectively named, "The District Chapelry of Southgate," "The district chapelry of Winchmore Hill," and "The District Chapelry of Upper Edmonton."

The Queen has been pleased to grant unto Richard Edward Toker, of Kenfield, in the parish of Petham, in the county of Kent, Esq. Her royal licence and authority that, in compliance with a direction contained in the last will and testament of Sarah Thomson, late of Kenfield aforesaid, Spinster, deceased, he may take and bear the surname of Thomson only, and also bear the arms of Thomson quartered with those of Toker; such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms, and recorded in the Herald's office, otherwise the said licence and permission to be void and of none effect:

And to command that the said royal concession and declaration be registered in Her Majesty's College of Arms.

And then an Order from the Poor Law Board to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the township of Manchester, and to all others whom it may concern, dated the 18th day of August 1851, directing that so much of the Act passed in the 13th and 14th years of the reign of Her present Majesty, intituled "An Act to prevent the holding of vestry and other meetings in churches, and for regulating the appointment of vestry clerks," as
