The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury having certified to the Commissioners for the Reduction of the National Debt, in pursuance of the Act, 10th Geo. 4, c. 27, sec. 1, that the actual surplus revenue of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, beyond the actual expenditure thereof, for the year ended the 10th day of October 1850, amounted to the sum of three million four hundred and sixtythree thousand one hundred and fifty-four pounds thirteen shillings and one penny;

The Commissioners for the Reduction of the National Debt hereby give notice, that the sum of eight hundred and sixty-five thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight pounds thirteen shillings and three pence, being one-fourth part of the said surplus of three million four hundred and sixtythree thousand one hundred and fifty-four pounds thirteen shillings and one penny, will be applied, under the provisions of the said Act, between the 7th day of January 1851 and the 5th day of April 1851, to the following purposes; viz.:

MEMORANDA.

The date of the Commission of Ensign Rowland Hill Gordon, in the 38th Foot, has been altered to 12th December 1850, but not to be allowed to receive any back pay.

The names of the Cadet appointed to the local and temporary rank of Ensign at Chatham, are "William Hichens," not "William Hickens," as erroneously stated in the Gazette of the 27th ultimo.

The Christian name of Assistant-Surgeon Carroll, of the 99th Foot, is "James," and not "Patrick," as previously stated in the Gazette of 3rd instant.
