PREFACE. This Report was compiled and sent to the State Printer in February, 1903. Owing to the large amount of printing caused by the session of the Legislature, the State Printer is behind in his work, and it is probable that he cannot begin on this Report for several months. It has been decided, therefore, to have a limited number of copies printed by private contract at the expense of the State Board of Health. The finances of the Board will not permit of the publication of the usual number, three thousand five hundred copies. Changes have been made from time to time since February 1st, in some of the subjects embraced in this Report. This will account for the difference in the dates on the title pages. As it is necessary to send the copy to the printer today, it is impracticable to bring each subject down to the present time. The information contained in each has been corrected to the date on the title page. The Official Register of Physicians will be corrected to the time of issuance. Attention is invited to the Preface of the Official Register. June 27, 1903. J. A. EGAN, M. D., CONTENTS. MEMBERSHIP OF STATE BOARD OF HEALTH. MEDICAL PRACTICE IN ILLINOIS..
