Captain Arthur Riversdale Grenfell has received Her Majesty's permission to resign his Commission.

Her Majesty's acceptance of the resignation of the Commission held by Captain Pascoe St. Leger Grenfell has been cancelled, and Captain Pascoe St. Leger Grenfell now holds his Commission as Captain.

Warwickshire Yeomanry Cavalry.

Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to accept the resignation of the Commission held by Surgeon Thomas Hiron.

Huntingdonshire Militia.

Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to accept the resignation of the Commission held by Lieutenant William Whitter Goldicutt.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1858.

Notice is given in this Gazette by the Right Honourable Sir George Grey, Bart., one of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, that the Local Government Act, 1858, has been duly adopted within the parish of Barton-upon-Humber, in the county of Lincoln.-Dated the 6th day of January, 1863.

An order of the Poor Law Board, dated the 26th of December, 1862 (as set forth in this Gazette), to the Churchwardens and Overseers of

the Poor of the parish of Tottenham, in the county of Middlesex, and to all others whom it may concern, directs that so much of the Act 13th and 14th Vict. cap. 57, as relates to the providing of a room or suitable buildings for the purpose of holding vestry or other meetings for the transaction of any business of, or relating to, the said parish of Tottenham, shall forthwith be applied to and be put in force within the said parish.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS Our Parliament stands prorogued to Tuesday the thirteenth day of January instant; We, with the advice of Our Privy Council, do hereby publish and declare, that the said Parliament shall be further prorogued, on the said thirteenth day of January instant, to Thursday, the fifth day of February next; and We have given order to Our Chancellor of that part of Our United Kingdom called Great Britain to prepare a Commission for proroguing the same accordingly and We do hereby further, with the advice aforesaid, declare Our royal will and pleasure, that the said Parliament shall, on the said Thursday, the fifth day of February next, assemble and be holden for the dispatch of divers urgent and important affairs: and the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, and the Commissioners for Shires and Burghs of the House of Commons, are hereby required and commanded to give their attendance accordingly, at Westminster, on the said Thursday, the fifth day of February next.

Given at Our Court at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, this ninth day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and in the twenty-sixth year of Our reign.
