AT THE STATE CAPITAL ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 1879.
I, JAMES SMITH, Secretary of State of the State of Kansas, do hereby certify that the printed Acts and Resolutions contained in this volume are true and correct copies of the enrolled laws and joint resolutions and memorials which were passed at the regular session of the State Legislature for the year eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, with the exception of the clerical errors appearing inclosed in brackets; and I further certify that all laws and joint resolutions contained in this volume, not having taken effect by publication in some newspaper, as per certificate thereunto annexed, will take effect and be in force from and after the 20th day of May, A. D. 1879, (except when otherwise provided by law.)
