Resume of Work Since July 1, 1916.

July 2, 1916, Wellsburg, Brooke County-Preliminary investigation of outbreak of typhoid fever, due probably to the city drinking water. July 10, 1916, Parkersburg, Wood County-Inspection of chlorinating plant installed in June at the suggestion of the Department of Health. July 10, 1916, West Union, Doddridge County-Investigation for new water supply for the city of West Union. Investigation covering surveys for two projects, one utilizing deep wells and the other filtering Middle Island Creek.

July 11, 1916, Broad Oaks, Harrison County-Co-operation with city official to obtain additional supply of drinking water for the town.

July 11, 1916. Morgantown, Monongalia County-Conference with manager of water plant in regard to possibility of chlorinating the drinking water supply, visit to dam across mountain stream. Conference with mayor and other officials in regard to street washing. Conference with city health officer in reference to various health matters.

July 11, 1916. Sabraton. Monongalia County-Investigation with a view to the possibility of laying sewers for that portion of the town near the tin plate mill.

July 12, 1916, Fairmont, Marion County-Interview with Mr. Ira Smith regarding the operation of their chlorinating plant.

July 12, 1916. Wheeling, Ohio County-Long conference with city engineer on proposed filtration system for Wheeling, also with regard to move for chlorinating the drinking water, $1,500.00 having been appropriated for such apparatus as result of my conference with the Board of Control cn May 19th.

July 13, 1916. Wellsburg, Brooke County-Conference with city officials in connection with typhoid epidemic, urging that chlorinating plant be installed. Final action was taken and apparatus is to be installed at earliest possible date.

July 18, 1916. Pratt, Kanawha County-Inspection of chlorinating plant which had failed to operate properly. Trouble found and corrected. July 20, 1916, Blakely, Kanawha County-Investigation of sanitary conditions.

July 27, 1916. Mullens, Wyoming County-Inspection of insanitary conditions at hotel.

July 28. 1916, Raleigh, Raleigh County-Preliminary investigation of water supply.

July 29, 1916, Hinton, Summers County-Preliminary investigation of water supply and intake crib.

July 30, 1916, White Sulphur, Greenbrier County-Investigation of alleged nuisance in Hoss Hollow. Condition already remedied.

July 30, 1916, Lewisburg, Greenbrier County-Preliminary investigation of city water supply.

August 1, 1916. Charles Town, Jefferson County-Second visit to city spring and auxiliary supply.

August 1, 1916, Harper's Ferry, Jefferson County-Inspection of alleged insanitary conditions at Marshall spring.

August 2, 1916, Cumberland, Md.-Conference with city health officer regarding possibility of having specimens from nearby West Virginia towns examined in the city laboratory.

August 3, 1916. Westernport, Md.-Conference with city mayor regarding installation of permanent chlorinating plant as this supply is sometimes furnished to Piedmont, West Virginia.
