The county will surface three miles of the Northwestern Turnpike with concrete and also two miles of the Elizabeth Pike with the same material. Federal Aid is granted on both of these roads.

WYOMING COUNTY.

County Road Engineer, A. B. Shannon, Pineville, West Virginia. Wyoming County hsa 98 miles of Class A Road, none of which is hard surfaced, and about 20 miles of graded earth road.

In the fall of 1915 the voters of the county authorized a bond issue of $550,000, with this money there has been constructed about 40 miles or graded earth road, and 19 reinforced concrete arch bridges. These funds are now exhausted.

The Class A Levy during the past two years has been used in completing contracts let under the bond issue.

State Project 1054, involving the construction of 4.5 miles of graded earth road and four concrete bridges, has been approved, plans completed, contracts let and construction work started. This project takes $47,000 of the $62,720 State and Federal Aid allotted to this county for the three years ending June 30, 1920. The difficulty of construction in this section of the State may be seen in the fact that this road will cost over $20,000 a mile for grading 22 feet wide and draining properly.
