Second. For three washing machines, one wringer (30-inch extractor), and one mangle (5 roll, 100 in hagon), twenty hundred dollars ($2,000).

Third. For one 40-horsepower engine, five hundred dollars ($500).

Fourth. For maintenance of inmates of said hospital, thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000).

Fifth. For beds and furnishings for additional wards, eighty-seven hundred and fifty dollars ($8,750).

SECTION 2. That all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed, and this Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

ACT 59.

AN ACT to amend Section 2 of Act 125 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1903.

SECTION

I.

Fishing by hook and line or by gigging allowed in certain

waters of Washington, Benton, Carroll and Madison Counties.

2. Act in force from passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That Section 2 of an Act of the General Assembly, approved April 3, 1903, being Act No. 125 of the Acts of 1903, be so amended as to read as follows: That hereafter it shall be unlawful to seine, net,

dredge, trap, or take fish in any way, except with hook and line, or by gigging, from the waters of White River, or any of its tributaries, in the counties of Washington, Benton, Carroll and Madison, in this State; or from the waters of Illinois River, in Benton and Washington Counties.

SECTION 2. That this Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

ACT 60.

AN ACT to amend Sections 7393, 7449, 7414, 7409, 7423, 7454, 7408, 7434 of Kirby's Digest of the Statutes of Arkansas.

SECTION

I.

Fixes the salaries of the county judges in the following counties: Arkansas, Polk, Drew, Crawford, Howard, St. Francis, Craighead, Logan.

Laws in conflict repealed; Act in force from passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That Section 7393 of Kirby's Digest of the Statutes of Arkansas be amended to read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Arkansas County shall be nine hundred dollars ($900) per

annum.

That Section 7449 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Polk County shall be one thousand dollars ($1,000) per annum.

That Section 7414 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Drew County shall be ten hundred dollars ($1,000) per annum.

That Section 7409 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Crawford County shall be ten hundred dollars ($1,000) per

annum.

That Section 7423 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Howard County shall be eight hundred dollars ($800)

per annum.

That Section 7454 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of St. Francis County shall be twelve hundred dollars ($1,200) per annum.

That Section 7408 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Craighead County shall be eighteen hundred dollars ($1,800) per annum.

That Section 7434 of Kirby's Digest read as follows: That the salary for the County and Probate Judge of Logan County shall be ten hundred dollars ($1,000) per

annum.

SECTION 2. That all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after April 1, 1905.

ACT 61. minis

AN ACT to require all legal executions of persons convicted of capital crimes on change of venue shall be in the county where the crime was committed, and for other purposes.

SECTION

I.

Executions for capital offenses shall take place in county in which crime was committed.

Circuit judge shall order delivery of person convicted of capital offense to the sheriff of county where crime was committed.

3. Laws in conflict repealed; Act in force from passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTON I. That hereafter, when any person shall be convicted, on change of venue, of any capital offense, in any of the circuit courts of this State, that the place of execution shall be in the county where the crime of which he was convicted was committed.

SECTION 2. That the circuit judge before whom any person is convicted, of any capital offense, on change of venue, shall, when pronouncing sentence and judgment of court upon such person, order that he be delivered by the sheriff of the county where he is convicted to the sheriff of the county where the crime for which he is to be executed was committed, and that he shall be executed in that county by the sheriff of that county, as now prescribed by law.

SECTION 3. That all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this law be, and the same are hereby repealed, and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

ACT 62.

AN ACT to fix the time for holding circuit court in Independence County.

SECTION

I.

Fixes the time for the holding of the circuit court of Independence County.

2. Acts in conflict repealed; this Act in force from passage. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas:

SECTION I. That hereafter the circuit court of Independence County, Arkansas, shall convene on the eighth Monday after the fourth Monday in August, and on the eleventh Monday after the third Monday in January, in each year.

SECTION 2. That all Acts and parts of Acts in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this Act take effect and be in force from and after its approval.

ACT 63.

AN ACT to incorporate the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of the State of Arkansas.

SECTION

I.

Incorporates the "Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern
Star of the State of Arkansas."

2. Authorized to own property, to sue or be sued, etc.

3.

Said order may hold donations, devises and bequests of lands.
