A NEW FEATURE HAS JUST BEEN ADDED-REPORTS OF QUARTER SESSIONS. EXTRACT FROM A LETTER OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD, DATED 27TH JUNE, 1884.

"The Law Officers advise to the effect that if the publications in question (Justice of the Peace, &c.), contain information so immediately connected with the discharge of their duties by the Local Authorities as to be likely to enable them to discharge those duties more efficiently, such publications may legally be purchased by them."

The "Justice of the Peace" so entirely fulfils the above requirements as to leave no doubt about its being a LEGAL CHARGE ON THE RATES.
