GENERAL RULE.

COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.

SUFFOLK, SS.

At the Supreme Judicial Court, begun and holden at Boston, within the county of Suffolk, and for the counties of Suffolk and Nantucket, on the first Tuesday of March, A. D. 1850.

It is ordered,

That, at or before the commencement of the argument of each case, upon the law docket, each party shall deliver to the other, and furnish to each of the Judges, and to the Reporter, a printed or written statement of the points on which he intends to rely, and the authorities intended to be cited in support of them, arranged under the respective points.

And, in cases where it may be necessary for the court to go into examination of evidence, each party shall briefly specify in his printed or written statement of points, the leading facts which he deems established, with a reference to the pages of the papers where the evidence of such facts may be found. This rule is to take effect on the second Tuesday of November, 1850.
