nics' Magazine.

Two hundred and sixty thousand parts were sold during the four years of its first publication.

The affair of Mrs. Rudd and the Perreaus excited much public interest. It was in Feb. 1775, that these frauds were discovered, some notice of which, and the trials of the parties, may be seen in the Gent.'s Mag. vol. 45, pp. 148, 278, 603. See also vol. 46, p. 23, for the petition of Mrs. Robert Perreau to the Queen, and at p. 44 is an account of the execution of Robert and Daniel Perreau, on the 17th of Jan. 1776.
