Trinity House Regulations, Nov. N.B.-The pilotage rates for the several Trinity

From two miles outside of the bar off the entrance of the River Dovey up the Dovey 1862 to Aberdovey.

From Port Dinorwic, or Moel-y-Don, through Ib. Dec. 1869.
the Swellies, to a line from Great Orme
Head to Port Lynas, and into and out of all
ports and places within those limits.
Within such parts of the Bristol Channel and
adjacent rivers and creeks as lie on the S. E.
side of and are comprised within a line drawn
from Anchor Head to Watchet.

(a) The bye-laws of the Trinity House for the regulation of their pilots
are printed in the appendix to Kay's Master and Seamen, p. lxv. The
principal Acts previous to 1825 relating to Trinity House pilots were 5 Geo. 2,
c. 20; 48 Geo. 3, c. 104; 52 Geo. 3, c. 39; 55 Geo. 3, c. 86.

(b) As to the grant of separate licences for pilots above and below Graves-
end, see M. S. Act, 1854, s. 370.

(e) This Act placed the then existing Cinque Port Pilots under the control
of the London Trinity House. As to the Trinity House of Dover and the
Cinque Ports pilots, see 3 Geo. 1, c. 13; 43 Geo. 3, c. 152; and the Report
of the Pilotage Commission, 1870.

(d) An Order in Council, made the 16th July, 1857, and purporting to
restrict the exemptions then existing within the pilotage districts of the
Trinity House, was pronounced to be so far invalid. See The Earl of

It is enacted by 8 & 9 Vict. c. lxxxix. s. 76, that save as in such act provided the 47 Geo. 3, sess. 2, c. xxxiii shall not be altered. [See "Port of Bristol," infra, p. 121.]
