IARRHEA, DYSENTERY.

D'GENERAL BOARD of HEALTH,

London, REPORT that it ACTS as a
CHARM, one dose generally sufficient.
Dr. GIBBON, Army Medical Staff, Cal-
cutta, states: "2 DOSES COMPLETE-
LY CURED ME of DIARRHEA."
Chemists, Simla. Jan.

We have never used any other form of this medicine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is decidedly the best, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and the public, as we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a deliberate breach of faith on the part of the chemist to prescriber and patient alike.-We are, Sir, faithfully yours, SYMES & CO., Members of the Pharm. Society of Great Britain, His Excellency the Viceroy's Chemists.

DISCOVERED & REMEDY to denote DEAR SIR,-We congratulate you upon
which he coined the word CHLORO-
DYNE. Dr. Browne is the SOLE IN-
VENTOR, and, as the composition of
Chlorodyne cannot possibly be disco-
vered by Analysis (organic substances
defying elimination), and since the for-
mula has neverbeen published, it is evi-
dent that any statement to the effect
that a compound is identical with Dr.
Browne's Chlorodyne must be false.

This Caution is necessary, as many persons deceive purchasers by false representations.

R. J. COLLIS BROWNE'S cellor Sir W. PAGE WOOD stated publicly in Court that Dr. J. COLLIS BROWNE was UNDOUBTEDLYthe INVENTOR of CHLORODYNE,that the whole story of the defendant Freeman was deliberately untrue, and he regretted to say it had been sworn to.See The Times, July 13th, 1864.

SOLE MANUFACTURER,

A WONDERFUL SUBSTITUTE

FOR

SCRUBBING AND BOILING.

Mrs. Cook, Tower House, Orpington, Kent, writes on May 12, 1884:

'I have great pleasure in enclosing cheque in payment of your wonderful "Villa Washer, Wringer, and Mangler Combined." It is, without doubt, the best manufactured for small families. I gave it a good trial, having saved a three weeks' wash (for eight in family), and some of the things were unusually dirty, especially the servants' aprons; but after undergoing the process directed by you they were spotlessly clean, nothing having been rubbed, scrubbed, or boiled. I only regret I had not purchased one fifteen years ago. I may mention that as I was returning from your establishment in a 'bus, I was discussing with my husband the properties of your "Villa Washer," when a gentleman asked me if it was "Harper Twelvetrees" I was speaking of, and upon our answering yes, he said he had had one for eight years, and would not be without it for £20. On this assurance I at once wrote for one on trial, and can confidently state it did its work well, and in a third of the time of the old process by rubbing, scrubbing, and boiling. I state these few facts in the hope that some one who has been so very much troubled with a dirty washerwoman may send for one of your machines, and, if properly managed, I am sure the trial will be most successful.'

HARPER TWELVETREES' Villa Washer, Wringer, and Mangler, £5 5s. and £5 15s. 6d., is sent for free trial, carriage paid, to any Station in Great Britain. Illustrated List and Pamphlet post free.

I gave my best attention to her case, and the correspondence extended from that May, 1884. During that nine months there was a gradual improvement (with slight vara till she got thoroughly well.

Recently I received a letter as follows:

'DEAR SIR,-Miss Laidlaw, after being under your treatment for nearly ten gradually left off your medicine, and has been without it for six weeks. She still muistu strength. She has taken a situation, and we believe she is alive and in fair good hemli through your treatment.-JOHN HAYES, 15, WORDSWORTH STREET, PENRITH.'
