An Act to apply, out of the General Revenue, the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds to the Service of the Three Months ending the Thirtieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

[Assented to, July 31st, 1895.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parlia

ment assembled, as follows:

1. Out of the General Revenue of the said province there shall Issue and application be issued and applied, from time to time, for the service of the of £400,000. three months ending the thirtieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, any sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds.

Estimates.

2. No payments for any establishment or service shall be made Payments not to out of the said sum in excess of the rates voted for similar exceed last year's establishments or services on the Estimates for the year ended the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninetyfive, as modified by "The Public Salaries Act, 1894," except so far as such rates are affected by the "Civil Service Act, 1874."

An Act to amend the Laws relating to the Naturalisation

of Aliens.

[Assented to, August 22nd, 1895.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as "The Naturalisation Act, 1895," Short title and incorporation. and shall be incorporated with the "Aliens Act, 1864."

2. Section 16 of the "Aliens Act, 1864," and the whole of Act No. Repeal of sec. 16 of 5 of 1872 are hereby repealed.

Act No. 5 of 1864 and Act No. 5 of 1872.

3. No fee shall hereafter be charged in respect of any proceedings No fees to be charged in relation of the naturalisation of any alien. for obtaining naturalisation.

The declaration and oath required by section 13 of the Declaration and oath principal Act may be taken and subscribed before any Justice of required by section 13 the Peace, and such declaration and oath may be forwarded with the original letters of naturalisation and the copy thereof to the Registrar-General, who shall thereupon make the indorsements required by the said section in the same manner as if the declaration and oath had been taken and subscribed before him.

An Act to amend "The Audit Act, 1882."

E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as "The Audit Act Amendment Act, 1895," and shall be incorporated with "The Audit Act, 1882,1 hereinafter called the said Act.

2. The said Act shall hereafter be read as if it provided for the appointment of one Commissioner of Audit instead of two, and all powers, rights, and duties of the Commissioners of Audit under the said Act, or any other Act, shall vest in and shall be exercised, possessed, and performed by the Commissioner of Audit holding office at the time of the coming into operation of this Act, or any Commissioner of Audit thereafter appointed.

Short title and incorporation.

Provide for one Com missioner of Audit

instead of two.

3. This Act shall come into operation on a day to be fixed by Commencement of the Governor by Proclamation in the Government Gazette.
