A LITANY GRATITUDE AND ADORATION Minister. O Lord, our Governor, Whom we behold upon the throne of Thy glory, yet know that Thou art ever with us here, and beholdest the secrets of darkness and the lowest abyss; without beginning, and without end, Infinite One, for ever unchangeable in Thy blessedness, tranquillity and peace, we bow before Thee, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Father in Heaven. People. O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is gracious, and His mercy endureth for ever. Minister. Lord Jesus, most dear and gracious Saviour, true Wisdom of the Father, Image of His goodness, the Brightness of His Person, we look to Thee. Thou art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them that remain in the broad sea. Light that lightenest every man that cometh into the world, the blest Redeemer of our race. People. O that men would therefore praise the Lord for His goodness; and declare the wonders that He doeth for the children of men! Minister. Eternal Spirit, rest upon Thy holy Church, rest upon each one of Thy children here. Enable us to see and understand the meaning of Thy vast design, to dream our dreams, and see our visions, of all things good, and beautiful, and true. Spirit of truth, Giver of life, Earnest of the inheritance of the saints in light, Fountain of sanctification, we look to Thee. Comfort of the Church, Ease of the afflicted, Support of the weak, Unsearchable riches of the poor, Teacher of the ignorant, Refuge of the scrupulous and fearful, Infinite Reward of faithful and believing souls; Everlasting Felicity of all reasonable, understanding creatures, who love and serve Thee, sending up their acceptable, never ceasing sacrifice of prayer, and praise, and adoration; we lift our souls to Thee. People. O ye spirits, and souls, of the righteous, bless ye the Lord; praise Him and magnify Him for Amen. ever.
