PSALM XXXI. (s. M.) 1 DEFEND me, LORD, from shame ; 2 To Thee, the God of truth, (For Thou preserv'dst me from my youth) I willingly resign. PSALM XXXIII. (C.M.) FIRST PART. 1 LET all the just to God, with joy, 2 Let harps and psalteries, and lutes, And new-made songs of loud applause d; 3 For faithful is the word of God SECOND PART. 1 By God's Almighty word, at first, C 2 The swelling floods together roll'd And lays, as in a store-house safe, THIRD PART. 1 LET earth, and all that dwell therein, Before Him trembling stand: For when He spake the word, 'twas made; 'Twas fixed at His command. 2 Whate'er the mighty LORD decrees FOURTH PART. 1 "Tis God who those that trust in Him He frees their soul from death; their want 2 Our souls on God with patience wait; 3 The riches of Thy mercy, LORD, Since we, for all we want or wish, PSALM XXXIV. FIRST PART. 1 THRO' all the changing scenes of life, In trouble and in joy, The praises of my God shall still 2 Of His deliv'rance I will boast, From my example comfort take, 3 O magnify the LORD with me, When in distress to Him I call'd, SECOND PART. 1 THE hosts of God encamp around 2 O! make but trial of his love, 3 Fear Him, ye saints, and you will then Have nothing else to fear; Make you His service your delight, THIRD PART. 1 THE LORD from Heav'n beholds the just With favourable eyes; And, when distress'd, His gracious ear 2 For God preserves the souls of those PSALM XXXVI.
