LOSSES.

I've lost my mistress, horse and wife,
But when I think on human life
I'm glad it is no worse:
My wife was ugly and a scold,
My Chloe was grown stale and cold-
I'm sorry for my horse.

JUSTICE.

A limb of the law of a rustic requir'd,
Sir, "your meaning of justice repeat;"

"Its a work," cried the clown," for which lawyers are hir'd,

But a work which they seldom complete."

To every Printer londs a Devil;
But, balancing accounts each winter,
For every Devil takes a Printer.
