The following order of the President is published for the information of all concerned:

EXECUTIVE MANSION, Washington, September 23, 1885. Under a provision of an act of Congress entitled "An act to authorize the appointment of a commission by the President of the United States to run and mark the boundary lines between a portion of the Indian Territory and the State of Texas, in connection with a similar commission to be appointed by the State of Texas," the following officers of the Army are detailed, in obedience to the provisions of said act of Congress, to act in conjunction with such persons as have been appointed by the State of Texas to ascertain and mark the point where the 100th meridian of longitude crosses the Red River:

General Orders, No. 97, September 1, 1885, from this office, relieving Lieutenant Colonels James F. Gregory, captain, Corps of Engineers, and George W. Davis, captain, 14th Infantry, from duty as aides-de-camp to the Lieutenant General, to take effect October 1. 1885, is amended to take effect October 10, 1885.
