By direction of the Secretary of War General Orders, No. 92, Headquarters of the Army, of 1884, is amended by fixing the clothing and money allowance for all musicians and trumpeters, including the enlisted men of the U. S. Military Academy band and all regimental bands, as follows:

Until the publication of a new price list of clothing and equipage, the money allowance of musicians, trumpeters, and bandsmen will be $45 per annum; of principal musicians, $48 per annum.

These allowances will take effect from and after January 1, 1885.

By direction of the Secretary of War paragraph 2571 of the Regula tions is amended to read as follows:

2571. Ordnance and ordnance stores issued to the several States and Territories under the law for arming the militia will be turned over to the Quartermaster's Department for transportation to the point within the State or Territory designated by the governor, the cost of transportation being paid by the Quartermaster's Department from the appropriation for Army transportation.
