CHAP. 176.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Minnie E. King.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Minnie E. King, widow of Charles A. E. King, late lieutenant, United States Navy, and pay her a pension at the rate of thirty-five dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving, and two dollars per month additional on account of the minor child of said Charles A. E. King until he reaches the age of sixteen years. Approved, March 10, 1902.

CHAP. 177.—An Act To confirm title to lot one, square eleven hundred and thirteen, in Washington, District of Columbia.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to release and quitclaim to Johanna C. Block, her heirs and assigns forever, all the right, title, and interest, whether legal or equitable, of the United States of America in and to all that lot or parcel of ground situated in the city of Washington, District of Columbia, and known on the ground plan of said city as lot numbered one, in square eleven hundred and thirteen, upon the payment by the said Johanna C. Block of such a sum as the said Secretary of the Interior shall deem just and equitable: Provided, That the said Johanna C. Block pay to the proper officer of the District of Columbia all taxes heretofore assessed against said property, both general and special, now unpaid and standing against said property.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of William S. Derby, late of Company A, Sixty-first Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Lura B. Rogers, widow of Benjamin A. Rogers, late captain Company M, Second Regiment South Carolina Volunteer Infantry, war with Spain, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Catherine Conroy, widow of John Conroy, late of Company C, Fourth Regiment United States Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month

Bruce, widow of Amos J. Bruce, late first lieutenant, Twelfth Regiment United States Infantry, war of eighteen hundred and twelve, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.
