Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That letters patent of the United States granted to Valdemar Poulsen, numbered six hundred ent issued to, not inand sixty-one thousand six hundred and nineteen, dated November valid. thirteenth, nineteen hundred, shall not be held invalid by reason of the lapse of more than seven months between the time of filing of his application for a patent in Denmark and the filing of his application for said United States patent; nor shall the lapse of said period of more than seven months debar him from the grant of a patent upon that portion of his invention which was divided out from his original application in this country under the rules of practice then prevailing in the Patent Office, but the patent which may be granted on said divisional application shall expire at the same time with the said letters patent numbered six hundred and sixty-one thousand six hundred and nineteen: Provided, That no person shall be held liable for any infringement of the patents herein referred to which may have prior infringement. occurred prior to the passage of this Act. Carr. dollars and seventy-one cents be allowed to Charles W. Carr, former postmaster at Englewood, Illinois, being the amount deposited by him to cover a deficiency arising in his office in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-four, which deposit was made to cover a loss caused by the payment by a clerk of two forged money orders, numbered eleven hundred and sixty-six and fifteen hundred and forty-three, issued at Lansing, Michigan, on April seventeenth and May sixth, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, respectively, without blame or fault on the part of said Charles W.
