It can only be hoped that his ideal of a world of free peoples, toward which he strived in life and for which he died, will be brought soon to a reality. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy and that of my country for you, Excellency, and your government, the family of Mr. Roosevelt, and the citizens of The United States of America who mourn their overwhelming loss.
