The following sum is hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the object hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For The St. Francis Hospital of Hartford, five thousand dollars, said sum to be in addition to any other amount appropriated for said hospital for said two fiscal years.

The following sums are hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the objects hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For the Connec ticut Agricultural College, for the improvement of land, repairs of buildings and equipment, erection of minor buildings, insurance, and other necessary purposes, fifty thousand dollars; for payment in lieu of interest of agricultural college fund, thirteen thousand five hundred dollars: For Storrs agricultural experiment station, for food investigation, thirty-six hundred dollars. An Act making an Appropriation for The Derby Hospital for the Two Years ending September 30, 1909.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

The following sum is hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the object hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For The Derby Hospital, six thousand dollars; provided, however, that no part of said appropriation shall be paid to said hospital until said hospital has organized a competent staff of physicians and surgeons, and has been equipped to receive and treat patients, and has been in actual operation for at least three months; and if said hospital is not in actual operation prior to September 30, 1907, there shall be paid of the appropriation to said hospital only seven hundred and fifty dollars for each three months that said hospital is in actual operation prior to September 30, 1909.
