The fame Little Lern is again described in Dan. the next Chapter, as waxing exceeding great; VIII.9. and in the Interpretation he is faid to "Stand 23. up in the latter Time of their Kingdom, and "when the Tranfgreffors are come to the Full: " Which Term of Tranfgrefers agrees well with St. John's defcription of that State of the Beaft when it wore the names of Blafphemy upon XIII. 1. its Heads, as well as the Ten Crowns on its Ten Horns: And when the Ten Horns shall make XVII. 14 War with the Lamb.

The latter Time of their Kingdom, is another Dan. Mark of the Time when the little Horn in the VIII a. VIII Chapter begins: Now we have already confidered the latter Time of the Grecian Mönarchy, and have fhewn it to have been, in all probability, when Conftantine renewed the Greek Empire.

But we may ftrengthen that Obfervation, if we take notice, that this Little Horn which is faid to fubdue Three Kings out of the Ten, is in this VIII Chapter defcribed, Cafting down Some of the Hoft of Heaven, and of the Stars to the Ground, and ftamping upon them.

And St. John tells us how many of these Stars were caft down, (out of Heaven:)

VIII. 24

"And there appeared another Wonder in Rev. "Heaven, and behold, a great Red Dragon, XII. 36 having feven Heads and ten Horns, and seven Crowns upon his Heads.

"And his Tail drew the third part of the *Stars of Heaven, and did caft them to the Earth:---

the fourth Kingdom in this World; which fhews,、 that Heaven, in the Vifion, means no more than Power and Government, and Earth, the Sub--jects or Common People. And here are the third part of the Stars caft down to the Earth; which by fo early a Dream as Jofephs, meant no more than fo many Eminent Perfons, as it is plain, was a common Figure in his Time, by this Paffage.

S

Jofeph "Dreamed another Dream and told it "his Brethren, and faid, Behold, I have Dreamed! "a Dream more, and behold, the Sun and Moon, " and the eleven Stars made Obeifance to me. "And he told it to his Father, and to his "Brethren, and his Father Rebuked him, and "faid unto him, What is this Dream that thou "haft Dreamed? fhall I, and thy Mother, and "thy Brethren, indeed, come to bow down our Selves to Thee to the Earth.

But it is well known by the Event, that they did Bow Themselves down to him, and fo the Dream proved a true Prophecy. And thus we fee, that the Stars of Heaven may mean the fame. with the Ten Horns.

"But it remains to fhew, that this Tail in St. John, means the fame with the little Horn; and this Ifaiah helps us to make out, without dif*ficulty;

And we know, that St. John calls him the Rev. falfe Prophet, who wrought Miracles before the XIX. 20° Beaft.

And we find in another place, that Isaiah

But to return to the Defcription of the little Horn, and his fubduing Three Kings, which are in Daniel and St. John called Stars, and a third Dan. part of the Stars of Heaven, as indeed Three is the third of Ten, as nearly as it can be divided.
