Acts had, sped, and dispatched, in the Chapter House of the Collegiate and Cathedral Church of Saint Patrick, Dublin, on Wednesday, the 11th day of January, 1832, BEFORE THE VERY REV. Dr. JOHN TORRENS, Archdeacon of Dublin, Upon which day and place, the Dean proposed-That the following Memorial be presented to His Grace the Archbishop of Dublin; which being read It was unanimously resolved - That the same be adopted: and the Dean was thereupon requested to present it to His Grace upon Friday next. B MEMORIAL. To the Most Reverend Father in God, Richard, by Divine Providence Lord Bishop of Dublin, Primate and Metropolitan of Ireland, and Bishop of Glandelagh, &c. The Memorial of the Very Reverend the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate and Cathedral Church of St. Patrick's, Dublin, HUMBLY SHEWETH, THAT We, the Dean and Chapter, desire to approach your Grace with assurances of respect for your character and of willing subordination to your office. That it would be with grief and pain that we should be found even expressing an opinion that might seem to imply a difference of sentiment or disunion in Council. That as Members of the Established Church we must feel deeply interested in every proposed system of National Education, and especially in one intended for general adoption, and in which, from our stations, we should naturally be expected to take a part.
