Carriso, Inc., in the sum of $28.34, entered December 21, 1939. No appeal will be taken.

This suit, filed under the authority of the Tucker Act, involved fees for surveyor's services on vessels, illegally collected since the repeal of the related statute in 1933.

SIR: I have the honor to transmit herewith for the consideration of Congress, in compliance with the provisions of the act of September 30, 1890 (31 U. S. Č. 226), and the act of April 27, 1904 (31 U. S. C. 583, par. 2), a list of judgments rendered by the Court of Claims, which have been submitted by the Attorney General through the Secretary of the Treasury and require an appropriation for their payment, amounting to $111,413.

The necessity for the appropriation asked is explained in the letter of the Director of the Bureau of the Budget transmitted herewith, in whose conclusions and observations thereon, I concur.

(31 U. S. C. 226), and the act of April 27, 1904 (31 U. S. C. 583, par. 2), a list of judgments rendered by the Court of Claims, which have been submitted by the Attorney General through the Secretary of the Treasury with the request for an appropriation for their payment as follows:

For the payment of these judgments there is required an appropriation of $111,413, together with such sums as may be necessary to pay interest; provided, that none of the judgments shall be paid until the right of appeal has expired.

Since the foregoing are obligations of the Government, lawfully imposed, and which (subject to the reserved right of appeal) must be paid, an appropriation for that purpose is necessary at this time.
