So always, that the faid Laws, Ordinances, Statutes, or any of them be not contrary or repugnant to the Laws, Statutes, Rights or Cuftoms of this our Realm of England, or Derogatory to the Jurifdiction and Preheminence of the Lord High Admiral of England, for the Time being, or to the Court of Admiralty of England, or to the Judge, Regiter, or Marfbal of that Court for the Time being, or any of them.

AND whofoever against the faid Laws and to Laws, Ordinances, and Statutes, fhall in be punished, any part offend, or fhall violate, or break any of them, it fhall and may be lawful to and for the faid Mafter, Wardens, Affiftants, and Elder Brethren, or the greater Part of them, their Succeffors and Deputies aforefaid (whereof the faid Mafter, or Master's Deputy to be always one) in their Difcretions, according to the greatnefs and quality of the Fault, to punish and correct; and the Pains, Penalties, Amerciaments, and Forfeitures, or any of them, in the faid Laws, Ordinances, and Statutes, or any of them to be appointed and fpecified, of the Offenders, and every of them to afk, levy,

gather, and receive; and for the fame, if need fo be, the faid Offender and Offenders, as well by his and their Goods and Ships, or either of them, as by his or their Bodies (as the Cafe fhall require) according to the Laws and Cuf toms of this our Realm of England, or our Court of Admiralty, to deftrain and arrest, and by their own Officer for that Purpose to be appointed (if they shall so think it meet) to commit to Ward, there to remain, until the fame Pains, Amérciaments, and Forfeitures, with the Charges of the Imprisonment be fully answered, fatisfied, and paid, to the Ufe and Benefit of the faid Corporation; and also the fame Parties, Offenders, and every of them, to release and set free again, as to the faid Mafter, Wardens, Afiftants, and Elder Brethren, and Deputies, aforefaid, or the greater Part of them for the Time being, in that behalf shall feem expedient.

Guild, Fraternity, or Brotherhood, unto and for the repairing of a certain House, or Tenement, commonly called or known by the Name of Trinity-House; and of other Tenements and Alms-Houfes, fituate and being in Deptford-Strond, aforefaid, and Upper Deptford, in the faid County of Kent, belonging to the faid Guild, Fraternity, or Brotherhood; and for the Relief of poor finding of certain poor Perfons, Brethren, Brothers, and and the Wives of Brethren, of the faid their Widows. ALL and fingular which Laws, Conftitutions, Orders, and Ordinances as aforefaid to be made, We will to be duly obferved and kept, under the Pains and Penalties therein to be contained; fo always, as the faid Laws, Conftitutions, Their Laws, Orders, and Ordinances, Imprisonments, be binding,upFines, and Amerciaments, be reasonable, and not contrary or repugnant to the Laws, Statutes, or Cuftoms of this our Realm; nor Derogatory to the Jurifdiction or Preheminence of the Lord High Admiral of England for the Time being, or to the High Court of Admiralty of England for the Time being, or to the Judge, Register, or Marfbal of that Court for the Time being, or any of them.

PROVIDED always, That if any MafAbfence (fa- ter, Wardens, Affiftant, or Elder Brother, ving for Sick- fhall upon any Pretence whatsoever, exnefs) to be pu nifhed by dif- cept Sickness, (whereof good Proof by Oath is to be made) fail to give his Attendance at any of the Courts fummoned or other usual Meetings of the Corporation, for the space of Six Months together, he fhall be difplaced and dismissed by the Corporation, or major Part of them, from being an Elder Brother; and the Mafter, Wardens, Affiftants, and Elder Brethren, of the Guild, Fraternity, or Brotherhood aforefaid, or the major Part of them, as aforefaid, fhall proceed to the Election of fome other fit Perfon or Perfons, in the Room of him or them so removed.
