Newlands, of Nevada, died December 24, 1917; Hon. James H. Brady, of Idaho, died January 13, 1918, and his successor has not yet been chosen. Also, a successor to the late Hon. Paul O. Husting, of Wisconsin, has not yet been selected. House. Hon. William C. Adamson, fourth Georgia district, resigned December 18, 1917; Hon. Ellsworth R. Bathrick, fourteenth Ohio district, died December 24, 1917; Hon. Henry Bruckner, twenty-second New York district, resigned December 31, 1917; Hon. John J. Fitzgerald, seventh New York district, resigned December 31, 1917; Hon. Daniel J. Griffith, eighth New York district, resigned December 31, 1917; Hon. Murray Hulbert, twenty-first New York district, resigned January 1, 1918. Successors to the five Members last above mentioned have not yet been chosen, and neither has any one been selected to fill the vacancy in the fourth Illinois district. The House, on December 13, 1917, declared that Hon. Mark R. Bacon had not been elected to represent the second Michigan district in the Sixty-fifth Congress.
