Report of Committee on Advisory Board of Home Missions. Your committee begs to report as follows:

1. We have not been called upon during the past year in behalf of St. Samuel's Church, and the arrangement with the pastor at Newport continues the same as last year.

2. Our work at State College is at a standstill, and unless some positive, progressive action is taken by Synod during the convention, our people there will be compelled to disband.

A nobler and more earnest band of Christian workers will not be found anywhere than we have in the beautiful borough of State College.

Services were conducted at intervals during the past year, under the direction of your committee, appointed at last convention, without any expense to Synod, although $300.00 had been placed at the committee's disposal.

Your Advisory Board is of the opinion that every possible encouragement should be given this most promising work, so that our people will not be driven into other churches, whose Sunday schools are now largely made up of our children.

We urge the continuance of the committtee appointed last year, and recommend :

(1) That $150.00 of last year's appropriation be given to our organization at State College, to be used in excavating cellar and erecting foundation.

(2) The continuance of a like appropriation for this year, under the direc tion of your committee appointed last year.

(3) That a neighboring pastor be asked to take up the work at State College, and push the erection of a church, and conduct services when convenient, under direction of appointed committee.

(4) That the work be commended to our Boards of Home Missions and Church Extension.

3. The conditions of the Kishacoquillas pastorate are much improved, and a very efficient and acceptable pastor is on the field, with bright prospects for large developments.

The discouragements of the past few years have made our people of this old and once strong pastorate unable to give their pastor proper support, and commend them to our Board of Home Missions for assistance to the amount of $100.00 for the ensuing year.

Healthy conditions exist throughout our Synod, with very few exceptions.
Respectfully submitted,
CHARLES T. AIKENS,
W. D. E. SCOTT,

J. I. STONECYPHER.

Report of Trustees of Tressler Orphans' Home.

The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of Tressler Orphans' Home was held at the Home on the 6th of June last. It was the best attended meeting in recent years, twenty-eight of the thirty Trustees being present. Your Trustees were all in attendance. The Board was organized by the re-election of all the former officers: Rev. F. W. Staley, President; Rev. W. D. E. Scott, Secretary; Mr. Charles A. Kunkel, Treasurer.

Reports were made by the Superintendent, the Treasurer, and the Executive Committee, and much routine business was transacted.

During the year 26 children were admitted to the Home, and 18 were discharged, leaving the enrollment at that time 206 children. Twenty-two boys and girls united with the Church at the Easter communion. The health of the children during the year was excellent.

The report of the Treasurer showed that during the year $19,029.26 was received for maintenance of the Home, and that $18,312.99 was expended for the same, leaving a balance of $716.27 in the treasury. Up to the time of the Board meeting $14,127.62 was reported for the Boys' Dormitory and School Building. The dedication of this building was the chief feature of Visitors' Day, June 7th. Rev. F. W. Staley, President of the Board, and Mrs. M. H. Stine, of Altoona, President of the Board of Lady Visitors, made appropriate addresses, and Rev. Clinton E. Walter, D. D., conducted the finances. About $1,425.00 was raised in pledges, cash, and the offering. The cost of the building was about $24,000.00, and there is still an indebtedness of more than $7,500.00 to be met. The Board hopes to collect this amount in the near future. All friends of the Home are earnestly asked to help in the payment of this indebtedness. A small offering from the many friends of the Home would soon clear the building of debt.

The report of the Department of Printing was very satisfactory, and showed that the sum of $1,600.00 had been turned into the general treasury from the earnings of the department. This department is capable of doing all kinds of printing, and is worthy the patronage of our people on the territory of the
