The CHAIRMAN. In other words, at least Mr. Mattox's name was carried as being at the hotel and some of these items being charged to him, to his individual account?

Mr. CALABRESE. Right.

The CHAIRMAN. Is that correct?

Mr. CALABRESE. That is correct, Senator.

Just one more document in addition to this to explain this expenditure, especially for Mr. Mattox. There were found four folio cards. The CHAIRMAN. Four what?

Mr. CALABRESE. Folio cards pertaining to the Sheraton Park.

The CHAIRMAN. Does it show Mr. Mattox's name?

Mr. CALABRESE. I have the one referring to the $25.21 expenditure. The CHAIRMAN. That shows his name on it, does it? The hotel bill had his name on it?

Mr. CALABRESE. Yes; it shows Bill Mattox.

The CHAIRMAN. And this is all for the time that we are speaking of in January, 1961; is that right?

Mr. CALABRESE. Yes, Senator.

The CHAIRMAN. According to the hotel records, then, he would be there, or at least he was being charged for services at the hotel, and Mr. Estes was paying the bill. That is what these records reflect. Mr. CALABRESE. That is correct, Senator.

(At this point Senator Muskie entered the hearing room.)

The CHAIRMAN. These others that you have there may be printed in the record at this point, those that you have identified.

The CHAIRMAN. Is there anything further in this connection?

Mr. O'DONNELL. Those records that have just been testified to by Mr. Calabrese came from the office of Billie Sol Estes, the Billie Sol Estes Enterprises.

The CHAIRMAN. Is that right?

Mr. CALABRESE. That is correct, Senator.

The CHAIRMAN. Including those on the hotel stationery and so forth?

Mr. CALABRESE. Yes.

The CHAIRMAN. These were all obtained from the Estes files?

Mr. CALABRESE. That is correct, Senator.

The CHAIRMAN. All the documents you testified to here up to now? Mr. CALABRESE. Yes.

Mr. O'DONNELL. I think he has some documents that were received from the hotel that he would like to testify concerning.

The CHAIRMAN. When did you check the hotel records?

Mr. CALABRESE. Senator, I personally did not check. One of the staff members checked and checked just recently.

The CHAIRMAN. When?

Mr. CALABRESE. Just recently.

The CHAIRMAN. Last night or this morning?

Mr. CALABRESE. This morning.

The CHAIRMAN. That was rather recently, we would say?

Mr. CALABRESE. Yes.

The CHAIRMAN. What do they reflect?

Mr. CALABRESE. It reflects first of all an itemization for Billie Sol Estes, and on it it has a notation "banquet," and shows from January 21, 1961, that a bill was rendered for $775.76, which makes up what I had spoken about previously.

The CHAIRMAN. In other words, the hotel records that you got last night correspond with the records of Billie Sol Estes with respect to the $775.76 item?

Mr. CALABRESE. Right.

The CHAIRMAN. Very well.
