PASSED BY The General Assembly OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AT THE REGULAR SESSION BEGUN AND HELD IN THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY OF THE STATE Baton Rouge, La. 1916 Making an appropriation to defray the expenses of the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana, to pay the mileage and per diem of the members, the salaries of officers and employees; and other expenses thereof for the regular session commencing May 8th., 1916. Appropriating of General Assem Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana that the sum of Eighty One Thousand Dollars ($81,- $81,000 for expenses 000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appro- bly. priated to pay the mileage and per diem of the members of the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana, the salaries of officers and other employees, and other expenses thereof for the regular session commencing May 8th., 1916, and to be obtained and disbursed as hereinafter provided. Senate $26,000. Section 2. Be it further enacted, etc., That of the sum so ap- House of Reprepropriated Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) is hereby sentatives $55,000. set apart for the use of the House of Representatives, and Twenty Six Thousand Dollars, ($26,000.00), for the Senate; that the Chairmen of the Distributing Committee of the two houses shall, in disbursement of the sum herein appropriated issue vouchers in favor of the parties entitled to be paid out of the sum and to take the receipt therefor, which vouchers shall be approved and countersigned by the presiding officer of the respective houses, and on presentation of such vouchers the Auditor of Public Accounts shall warrant on the Treasurer for the amount of such vouchers, respectively, in favor of the parties entitled thereto. Section 3. Be it further enacted, etc., That the aforesaid warrants shall be paid out of the monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, and the Treasurer is hereby required to pay said warrants out of the first monies paid into the Treasury on licenses due in the year 1916 by preference over all other war How paid. |
