Whereas by the "Passengers Act, 1855," it is amongst other things enacted, that before any "Passenger Ship" shall clear out or proceed to Sea, the Master, together with the Owner or Charterer of the Ship, or in the Absence of such Owner or Charterer, or if the Master be the Owner or Charterer, One other good and sufficient Person, to be approved by the Chief Officer of Customs at the Port of Clearance, shall enter into a Bond to Majesty, Heirs and Successors, in the Sum of Two thousand Pounds:

B., or any of his Agents as aforesaid, may at any time be adjndged to pay under or by virtue of any of the Provisions of the said recited Act, then and in suejh Case this Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full Force.

tbTwitnDBssM.0f H.B.—This Bond is to be executed in Duplicate, in the Presence of and to be attested bj an Emigration Officer or his Assistant, or an Officer of Customs, or a Magistrate, or a Notary Public One part is to be deposited with the Emigration Commissioners in London, and tie other Part with the Emigration Officer at the Port nearest to the Place of Business of the Broker. Each Member of a Firm or Partnership who acts as a Passage Broker must give s separate Bond with Two Sureties.

Notice To Passengers.

1. If Passengers, through no Default of their own, are not received on board on the day named in their Contract Tickets, or fail to obtain a Passage in tho Ship, they should apply to the Government Emigration Officer at the Port who will assist them in obtaining Redress under the Passengers Act

2. Passengers should carefully keep this part of their Contract Tic after tho End of the Voyage.

N.B.—This Contract Ticket is exempt from Stamp Duty.
